Elevation on top of Potts Mountain is over 3600’, affording great views in all directions. No facilities on trail, but connector (white-blazed) trailheads to Pines Campground, with hand pump for water and vault toilets.

Parking at Trailhead, just off SR 617. First 1.2 mile ascends very gradually on old woods roads.
Trail climbs steeply, via switchbacks, through hardwood forest to top of Potts Mountain, connects with jeep road in semi-cleared area on summit.
