Construction recently finished on the eye-catching structure built to house the Taubman Museum of Art, previously the Art Museum of Western Virginia. Now the three-story facility has room to show both select pieces from its own permanent collection of American and contemporary pieces as well as a diverse range of changing exhibits featuring works by contemporary artists around the globe. Be sure to watch for works by artists from the Appalachian region and American greats like Winslow and Childe Hassam as you take in this tasteful exhibition space.
