Description
Formerly known as Columbia Island, this park was renamed in honor of Lady Bird Johnson and her campaign to beautify Washington D.C. The Grove, a site chosen by Lady Bird herself, is the site that the Johnsons often stopped to admire the city. Today, the Grove is relaxing spot for people to watch the river, view Washington D.C., and to recreate.

The Memorial Grove is open year round, during daylight hours. The park closes at dusk. Restrooms are located at the adjacent Columbia Island Marina and are open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Basic Directions
The LBJ Memorial Grove is located near the Pentagon and Arlington Memorial Cemetery. The George Washington Memorial Parkway provides direct access to the LBJ Grove parking areas and the LBJ Grove is accessible from all major travel routes from the South and West of Washington, including I-495, I-395, and I-66.
