Description
The Little Fort Recreation Area is in Fort Valley, the long narrow valley contained within the Massanutten Mountain range in Virginia. It contains 9 family-sized campsites. The campsites are first come first served. This is an unattended campground. There is a hiking trail from the campground to a metal observation tower on the ridge of the mountain that offers a marvelous view of the Shenandoah Valley (North Fork) with the ridges of Great North Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park along the Blue Ridge to the east.
