Cultivated it might be, but there's still plenty of wildlife to be spotted as you make your peaceful rounds along footpaths in the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, from turtles and graceful Great Blue Herons to butterflies, buzzing bees and grazing geese. Come in late Spring and Summer to catch an abundance of flowering trees in bloom, or find blossoms year-round in the Four Seasons Garden. Modeled after an Italian Renaissance garden, the Healing Garden is the place to meditate quietly after sniffing around the Rose Garden and sipping something hot in the Tea House or enjoying a ramble through the Asian Valley. Keep the young ones entertained in the Children's Garden, eqiupped with fountains for refreshing play on hot days.
