Description
Hopper Creek offers a Rustic atmosphere for tent camping for groups. It has a large mowed area for games and other activities.
Hopper Creek is just a short drive to Cave Mt. Lake recreation area, the James River Face Wilderness, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, and The Natural Bridge.
Hopper Creek has large grassy areas, which are mowed and stands of tall hardwoods. Hardwood forest surrounds the camp.

There are 3 large group tent pads with wooden picnic tables and fireplaces. It can accommodate up to 50 people.
Belfast Trail – 2.8 miles long; elevation change 1000 ft. to 2650 feet. From Hopper Creek Group Camp ground take VA. 759 back to Va. 781. Go 1.5 miles to beginning of trail at footbridge across Elk Creek. Devil’s Marbleyard is about 1.5 miles up the trail on your left.
Sulphur Spring Trail – 6.6 miles long; elevation change 1425 ft. to 2600 ft. From Hopper Creek Group campground take Va. 759 back to VA 781. Turn right (east) on 781. Go 3.2 miles to trailhead on left. (Road becomes gravel FS 35 at 1.8 miles.)
Hopper Creek Group Camp is in Rockbridge County, Virginia, 8 miles south of Natural Bridge.
