Here’s another Texas city famous for its beef; done as you like and in massive portions. The small steaks that some non-Texan restaurants will serve as their main steaks are sometimes duplicated here (especially in Twin Mountain Steakhouse) as “scraps,” small cuts. Tex-Mex is another big staple of San Angelo.
Music:
San Angelo may not be Austin, but it still has an unusual amount of music clubs for a small city. Honky-tonks and dance halls alike have a fierce country-cowboy spirit, but country is just one genre. Some clubs even go so far as to have themed dance floors and several of them. Some of those competing genres include rock and tejano, Texas staples, but at least one club has a more Polish flair. Go ready to polka.
