Description
Located only a short distance from Washington DC in the serene countryside near the Blue Ridge Mountains is a facility where riders of all levels can receive customized instruction to improve riding skills. It is suitable for the avid rider wanting total immersion to focus on specific skills, or the casual rider working to improve balance and style. In a relatively short period of time even a beginner rider can achieve a solid foundation.Lessons are offered in a variety of disciplines including rider's seat development, flatwork for jumpers and hunters, and dressage training through Fourth Level.

This instructional program is customized to improve your individual riding skills and help you understand the principals of classical dressage. Programs are designed to develop your seat, balance and timing, manage basic aids, and better understand the relationship between horse and rider.
Your customized program is an intensive study based around one or two selected subjects or concepts determined by you and your instructor.
Learn the "What", "Why", "How" and "What if" of these concepts. By the end of the clinic you will be able to take these skills home for use with your own horse.
This instructional program includes two mounted, one-hour, private lessons with the head instructor each day. One will be video taped and critiqued later with your instructor. The tape is yours to keep at the end of your stay.
During the clinic guests will stay in the lovely two story plantation style bed and breakfast located at the farm. Spacious bedrooms and private baths, with jetted tub or shower, are inviting after the intensive lessons. Enjoy the views of the peaceful Blue Ridge Mountians from a rocking chair on the veranda, or relax in front of the fireplace in the great room. The gracious hospitality of your host and hostess make you feel at home.
Start the day with breakfast each morning served in the formal dining room, or weather permitting, on the large screened porch. Lunches will be served at the farm or one of the small local cafes.
Dinners are not included in the package, allowing guests the excuse to check out the many wonderful restaurants in the area. Your host and hostess are happy to give suggestions and directions.
This is an ideal location to bring non-riding friends and family members. There are numerous things for them to see and do in the area.
We encourage guests to have a car at their disposal. Driving is easy to do and we are happy to provide maps with directions to any of the local attractions.
