The Cane Patch Camping Area is located in Wise, Virginia, 6.5 miles west of Pound. It is the only developed campground at the North Fork of Pound Lake and is in walking distance to the Phillips Creek swimming area. There are also many large open areas for games. Cane Patch is on a flat at the end of the North Fork of Pound Lake at an elevation of 1600 feet. Most of its units are open and grassy and many trees line the edge of the lake as well as the adjacent hills. The climate at Cane Path varies from warm (70-80 degrees) in the summer, to chilly in the fall and spring.
